Condition inspection for insurance process

We inspect vessels for insurance purposes.

Insurance inspections are typically either basic or comprehensive. It is important to clarify the insurer’s requirements so we can provide the correct inspection and report:

  • Basic: this is a NZ insurer template condition report for insurance purposes only, not a full survey. They are less comprehensive than a pre purchase inspection and typically done on an insurer’s template (materials covered – steel, aluminium, wood, GRP, composites)
  • Comprehensive (sometimes called Out of Water survey): A comprehensive, out of water in depth inspection, similar to a pre purchase inspection that looks at all aspects in detail (materials covered – wood, GRP, composites)

We don’t recommend basic insurance renewal condition inspection/reports for pre purchase situations.
